Victoria Ann (Austin) Piekarski was born April 29, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois to Victoria and Bert Austin. She attended Morton West High School and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Education from Northern Illinois University. She married her husband, Michael, in 1975 and had two wonderful children (Kristen and Michael) and two beautiful grandchildren (Caden and Connor). She moved from Illinois to Arizona in 1998 and loved being in the Arizona weather.

While her degree was in Education, she spent most of her adult life as a licensed optician working for several chain opticals. Her hobbies included sewing, holiday crafts & movies.

In July 2009, Vicki was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer to everyone's surprise. As a part of her fight, she was treated at TGen and their wonderful staff. She bravely fought and eventually lost the battle on November 21, 2010.

Vicki is also survived by two siblings; one brother Bert Austin (Berni), one sister, Marcia Stranski (Rich), and seventeen nieces and nephews. Vicki will be missed, and remembered, by many, many people.
