Richard was born in Luxembourg in 1987 and grew up in Germany, Sweden, and England, where he attended York House Preparatory School, before moving to New Jersey in 1998.

He attended Oratory Preparatory and graduated from The Lawrenceville School where he was a senior writer for the Lawrence and a varsity runner for both the cross country and track teams. He also completed over 200 hours of community service as a volunteer for patients with dementia, at the Liberty Science center, and tutoring under-privileged children.

After graduating from Lawrenceville, Richard attended Duke University and Stevens University for about a semester each.

Richard will always be remembered for his sharp sense of humor, unbounded generosity, and sensitivity to social problems.

Richard's devoted parents, Phyllis and Martino, and his loving brother and closest friend, Carlo, would like to extend their profound gratitude for the love, support, and generosity of their friends and family.
