Olivia was a devoted wife, mother and mother-in-law.  She was born in Cova-Gala, Portugal on September 9, 1948.  She was a compassionate person who always thought of her family and friends before herself.  She had a tremendous love for the outdoors and would spend numerous hours cultivating her garden.  Besides being an avid gardener, she was a remarkable chef and Sunday was her favorite day to share her talent.  The love and closeness she shared with her husband was extraordinary and unique.   She will always be remembered by those who knew her as humble, selfless and sincere.

Olivia's family is grateful to God for her life and for the kindness and prayers during her courageous 1 ½ year battle with adrenocortical cancer.  Her loss is felt daily but her spirit will never be forgotten.  She is deeply missed by her family and friends who loved her very much.  She is survived by her loving husband Agostinho, her sons Paulo and Nelson, daughter-in-law Angela as well as extended family in Portugal.

It is not the length of life, but the depth of life.  - Ralph Waldo Emerson
