TGen Provides Answers to Hauer Family

This TGen Foundation video honors the too-short life of Ryder Cash Hauer. Ryder's family praises the efforts of TGen and its Center for Rare Childhood Disorders, which helped provide them with a diagnosis. Ryder had a form of mitochondrial disease, which affects the mitochondria, or powerhouse of the cell. "He went though so many tests just to figure out what was going on," said his mother, Denise Hauer. "I couldn't imagine what it would have been like without knowing a diagnosis -- always wondering for the rest of my life what caused him to pass away."
