T.J. Isaacs named Vice President of Development for the TGen Foundation
Isaacs is a respected fundraiser with nearly a decade of experience at Arizona State University and other major academic institutions.
PHOENIX, Ariz. - Aug. 11, 2016 - The TGen Foundation, the fundraising arm of the non-profit Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen), has named T.J. Isaacs as the new Vice President of Development.
Isaacs is a respected fundraiser with nearly a decade of experience at Arizona State University and other major academic institutions.
"T.J. has had extraordinary success in building powerful, mutually-beneficial relationships with contributors to leading organizations," said TGen Foundation President Michael Bassoff. "I look forward to working with him to advance TGen's science."
Isaacs, who has previously raised tens of millions of dollars for other causes, will lead efforts in supporting TGen's groundbreaking research in pathogen genomics, neurogenomics, canine health and behavior, and the institute's pioneering Center for Rare Childhood Disorders.
"I want to build a greater recognition in the community about the work that TGen is doing on a global scale," said Isaacs, who not only looks forward to finding ways that the community can support TGen, but also how TGen can become even more involved in the needs of the greater community.
"Building awareness is a two-way street," said Isaacs, whose previous work includes fundraising at ASU in support of the newly redesigned Sun Devil Stadium; work at Creighton University, a major medical school based in Omaha; and his work at the University of Nebraska, where he oversaw fundraising priorities for the College of Public Affairs, and its College of Informational Sciences and Technology.
A native of Kimball, Neb., Isaacs is a 2002 graduate of the University of Nebraska at Kearney. His wife, Jill, is a Creighton University graduate and nurse practitioner.
