TGen selects Phoenix NAP to address IT requirements of genetic research
Full-service data center provides infrastructure to accommodate current and future needs
PHOENIX, Ariz. - Feb. 20, 2013 - Phoenix NAP®,
a full service data center and primary network access point (NAP)
offering cloud services, dedicated server hosting, colocation, and
Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) technology solutions, announced
today the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) is
utilizing the data center for its significant and evolving IT
needs. The non-profit organization will leverage Phoenix NAP's
leading infrastructure systems to continue conducting its important
genetic research.

TGen is employing a server configuration in the data center that
will enable the efficient and safe storage and transfer of vital
genetic data between its research facilities and medical
communities. Capable of providing up to 330Kw, TGen's private cage
features custom transformers installed by Phoenix NAP to deliver
appropriate levels of power to the blade servers and storage
devices.
Additionally, state-of-the-art systems inherent to the data center
are able to provide required cooling for this configuration, as
well as allow for future growth and expansion.
