Technology Transfer At TGen
The mission of the Translational Genomics Research Institute (TGen) is to make and translate genomic discoveries into advances in human health through world-class research and an uncompromising commitment to the health and safety of the individual.
It is, therefore, the mission of the Technology Transfer Office (TTO) to facilitate and accelerate the commercialization of TGen's scientific discoveries for the benefit of human health.
The mission of the Technology Transfer Office at TGen is accomplished by:
- Identifying, patenting and licensing new technology.
- Facilitating access and exchange of research materials, technologies, and data via Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) or Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs).
- Negotiating collaborative research agreements.
- Assisting in the formation of start-up companies when appropriate.

At TGen, we conduct translational research focused on: - Discovering the genetic changes that underlie a variety of human diseases
- Developing and validating diagnostic tests for disease
- Uncovering new targets and treatment approaches for cancer and other debilitating diseases, and
- Accelerating these new discoveries to the clinical care environment
To fully maximize the potential of TGen's translational research program, we are always seeking new partnerships and alliances with the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. These partnerships help provide a critical path from basic discovery to clinical application.
