PCRT accelerates development of new drugs
The Pancreatic Cancer Research Team (PCRT) is a multi-disciplined group of preeminent researchers dedicated to organizing and accelerating the clinical development of new agents for the treatment of patients with pancreatic cancer.
The team provides a central resource for patients seeking up-to-date clinical trials, investigators interested in exploring the clinical development of new agents, and biotech and pharma companies seeking strategies and clinical resources.
PCRT’s members include laboratory and clinical researchers who share the passion to bring new advances to patients with pancreatic cancer as rapidly as possible; providing the only coordinated effort in the world dedicated to rapidly translating research discoveries into new treatments and supportive care for patients with pancreatic cancer PCRT facilitates Phase I through Phase III clinical trials, with an emphasis on Phase I/II and Phase II trials.
PCRT’s bioinformatics support is provided by the Translational Genomics Research Institute’s (TGen) Information Technology Department and by using Cancer Research and Biostatistics (CRAB), current generation computing and communication technologies to track collection of biological materials, collection and storage of annotated clinical information and other data obtained on such specimens. The International Genomics Consortium (IGC) stores the collection materials and data for the Serum and DNA Bank.
The Pancreatic Cancer Research Team is focused on an all out effort to identify important questions in pancreatic cancer research, to develop novel therapies for the cure of pancreatic cancer, and to design relevant clinical trials to answer these questions.
