Expectations of an Intern

- Complete all biosafety and human subjects training in a timely manner.

- Work 40 hours each week.

- Give one oral presentation to your peers on your research.

- Attend weekly intern presentations and be an active participant.

- Create and present a scientific poster for the end of the summer symposium.

“The opportunities that TGen has afforded me are priceless, aside from introducing me to my mentor/current employer. Having the chance to work in the translational aspect of science was very unique in the sense that I was able to directly see the impact of my team’s research, which has been instrumental in my pursuit of a medical degree. I was also able to create life-long connections in the scientific community.” (Intern, 2004)
